Project Background

Military operations often demand reliable power sources that can be seamlessly integrated with heavy-duty trucks, ensuring operational readiness and efficiency. The PTS-25DRS project emerged from the need for a generator system designed to be mounted on trucks in front of shelters, emphasizing mitigating exhaust-related safety concerns and facilitating ease of maintenance.

Case Study Objective

The primary objective of the PTS-25DRS project was to develop a diesel generator solution tailored for mounting on heavy-duty trucks while addressing challenges such as exhaust management, maintenance accessibility, and adherence to military specifications. Key objectives included:

  • Military Standard Compliance: The generator enclosure was to be coated in flat tan 686 Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC) paint, ensuring compliance with military standards and enhancing durability in various operational environments.
