Project Background

Military scout vehicles often operate in rugged terrain and hostile environments, necessitating power solutions that are not only compact but also resilient and versatile. The PTK-10-TRAP project emerged from the need for a generator system that could fit into the limited space available within these vehicles while offering optimal performance and functionality.

The primary objective of the PTK-10-TRAP project was to develop a generator solution tailored specifically to the spatial constraints of military scout vehicles. Key objectives included:

  • Compact Design: The generator had to be engineered to fit snugly between two rows of seats in the scout vehicle, ensuring efficient use of space without sacrificing power output or performance.
  • Efficient Exhaust Management: Given the confined space, effective management of engine exhaust was crucial to prevent overheating and minimize any visible exhaust plumes that could compromise the vehicle's stealth capabilities.

  • Slim Profile: The generator was meticulously designed to fit within the narrow space between the two rows of seats in the scout vehicle, ensuring minimal intrusion while maximizing power output.
